Mayan Legends of Chechén, Chacá and Sicté

Nature tells stories, too. At Rancho Bonanza, you will learn the legend of the Chechén and the Chacá—two iconic trees of the Mayan jungle whose relationship has spanned generations. Discover their properties, their significance in Mayan tradition, and the role of the *chicozapote* tree, the source of the natural chicle that is part of the region's cultural legacy.

Tour Details

Ride through the Mayan jungle at Rancho Bonanza, an experience suitable even for beginners. Enjoy a 1-hour 20-minute horseback ride through tropical trails, cool off in Cenote Tula, and discover rescued animals, Melipona bees, and local traditions. A bilingual guide, safety equipment, lockers, towel, drinks, and snacks are included.
